High Efficiency and Environment-Responsible Heat Pump

Heat pumps are increasingly demanded and installed on worldwide markets. Improving them to reduce electric-energy consumption or emission danger has become important — as has finding ways to supply heat from the environment or from technology without digging ground wells, deep holes, or large surface groundworks, which is less expensive in terms of equipment, works, land use, environment, time and money.

We have several solutions for improving heat-pump efficiency, construction costs, and complexity:

  • Changing the common compressor that works with the liquid phase of the refrigerant to a compressor working with the gaseous phase — the construction is based on a high-efficiency propeller and vortex device.
  • Replacing the common refrigerant, which has dangerous effects on the atmosphere, with a CO₂ refrigerant — increasing efficiency while removing atmospheric danger.
  • Using shore seawater to extract heat for the heat pump, to heat water and cool the air in hotel/house rooms during the summer holiday season. To reduce the influence on the environment, the seawater is returned after heat extraction through an artesian fountain, which provides heat recovery to the return water and an artistic effect.

We also have a heat-pump solution using energy from hybrid solar panels (photovoltaic and heat panels), where the heat harvested from the sun by the photovoltaic is absorbed by a heat-exchanger panel mounted underneath it. This chills the photovoltaic panel and increases its production efficiency during hot hours. All these solutions are enhanced by storing heat in tanks included in the heating installation.

Another source to deliver heat to a heat pump is the wastewater installation, prior to delivering it to canalization — heat that can be extracted through dedicated equipment and introduced into the heat-pump input installation.

Due to the currently high cost of natural gas and electricity, alternative heating solutions have become relevant, with a lower return on investment than in normal energy-price times, which turns them into opportunities.
